Section 9. The Inner Solar System NON-Planetary Bodies. The Inner Solar System NON-Planetary Bodies are:- The Sun, The Moon, and The Two Mars Satellites, Phobos and Deimos. To verify this, here is a scan from The Planetary Scientist’s Companion, by Lodders and Fegley, Published by Oxford University Press, 1998, page 87, Table 2.4 In this table, everything above Jupiter is Inner Solar System. You can easily see that The Inner Solar System contains just EIGHT bodies, four planets, and four Non-Planetary Bodies (The Sun, and three satellites).
In the scan below, the P Orbital (days) column is sidereal revolution periods, and the P Rotation (days) column is sidereal rotation periods.
Note:- For satellites, the rotation period is precisely equal to the orbital period, due to “tidal locking”.
